The New York State Museum is one of the most unique wedding venues in the Albany area, so if you’re looking for wedding venues in Upstate NY you definitely should check it out! This couple fell in love with the museum and hosted one of our favorite weddings of the year there! Greg and Kramer’s beautiful wedding day began on a warm Autumn day in downtown Albany. Each groom got ready with their respective “Pride Party,” sharing laughs, tying ties and cracking jokes. Once ready, the couple shared a sweet first look in a private garden before traveling around downtown to take couple and pride party photos. Emotions were running high and it was clear to everyone involved that these two were eager to exchange rings and embark on a lifelong marriage. After photos, a visually dramatic ceremony commenced at the top of the NYS Museum, overlooking the State House and Empire State Plaza. The nuptials were performed by a close friend, who captured Greg and Kramer’s love in a meaningful and touching ceremony. At the first kiss, cheers erupted from all and the newlywed’s joy was palpable. The evening rewarded us with a stunning sunset and smoke bombs provided a unique background for night photos (and unintentionally alarmed the security guards!). After boisterous intros and a smile filled first dance, the grooms shared dances with their mothers and laughs during speeches. The night really got rocking after supper, with awesome dance tunes and impressive dance moves. Congratulations to this fun-loving and handsome couple – thank you for allowing us to join you at one of our favorite wedding venues in Upstate NY!
